Bollywood Actor Alok Nath

Alok Nath

Fame and fortune is open to all who perform any character in Bollywood movies, although the huge packet of dough definitely goes to main leads of actors and actresses. There is scope for all in industry as our stories are interwoven around family ties consisting of uncles, aunts, friends, brother and sisters. A loving uncle, a naïve villager or an ethical businessman with true moralities all such roles can be easily identified with our great Indian veteran actor Alok Nath.

The actor started his career with television serial Buniyaad which was a typical family drama with many shades to his character. That was perhaps the beginning of the actor’s journey into stardom on television. Though he had appeared in Tyeb Mohammad Gandhi and a tele serial before but the roles got him little appreciation in the cine world. The role of Haveliram-a teacher in buniyaad who would respectfully call his wife Lajjo ji became a favorite dialect of the serial.

Born on 10th July around 1957, this natural gifted actor has been entertaining us with his immense talent. He is identified as a doting father of either the leading actor or actress in Rajshri productions. He has always been part of the most successful hits of Suraj Barjatya’s team in hits like Hum Aapke Hain kaun(co-starring with Salman Khan, Anupam Kher, Mohnish Bahl and Madhuri Dixit), Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Saath Saath Hain(co-starring with Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Mohnish Behl and Tabu.) and most recently Vivah(co-starring with Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao, Manoj Joshi and Anupam Kher). Perhaps the success of these movies doesn’t hinder him from being called Rajshri’s auspicious mascot. In 1996 he also acted in hit movie Jeet.

The actor has not contented himself to silver screen only but performed equally powerful roles on television perhaps his inclination for performing substantial roles is the reason for his passion of acting on small screen. A joyful man with lovely dimples has few regrets like being type cast in goody roles in Bollywood and on television too. We could really list a rally of hit serials with his splendid performances like Piya ka Ghar, Tara, Astitiva Ek Prem Kahani and Ghar Ek Sapna. Presently one can view him in serials like Bidaai and har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai aired on Star plus and Zee TV respectively.

With competition getting tougher in Bollywood the actor has really made a long journey in numerous films and few emotional scenes that are definitely other actor’s envy and alok’s pride. Being a humble and honest man of high thinking the actor doesn’t defy his age becoming a barrier with roles offered to younger actors and actresses. But we guess as every beauty finds its admirer and people in industry know the value of veteran gem actors we have. So they never let them rust and hence keep in touch with them for some meaty roles. He is a type of actor who has co-starred with almost every indian actor in bollywood like Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Govinda, Anil Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan, Sunny Deol, Aamir Khan, Dharmendra, Jeetendra and many more and also with actresses like Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor, Amisha patel, Priyanka Chopra and more. He also a prominent role in hit movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum. He also acted as a master in Hit movie Agneepath co-starring with Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Danny Dengzongpa, Shakti Kapoor and Neelam in lead roles.

But can anyone imagine how much the actor desires to act against his goody image that really shows in his expression when he mentions his role in mukhbir. However not too many directors have experimented with that image and have been repeatedly casting him in goody father roles itself, who’s is complaining? The actor candidly accepts roles being offered and is not hesitant to add that his career is his profession and he worships it with complete dedication. However television gave him better respect and space to act on his own strategies perhaps that provide our amazing performer some contentment as an actor.

Alok nath is often compared to sanjeev kumar in his versatility that shies away at this comparison perhaps taking the comparison as most precious complement. Looking back at his famous role in buniyaad the actor still hovers in the shadow of that role but confesses that he did not had guts to refuse roles like his co star actresses anita kanwar being the bread earner of his family.

This amazingly talented natural actor has been called arrogant at times but his compromising nature and humble behavior soon halted persisting rumors. The actor has come along way since 1982 but it is truly sad that his career did not reach the height he deserved. With so many constellations and stars twinkling in sky we only call few by their name, but that does not mean we can ignore the rest. They are also part of lightened sky like alok nath is part of the Bollywood and small screen
