Bollywood Actor Boman Irani
Boman Irani is a famous Bollywood actor who was born in the year 1962. He was married to Zenobia and has two sons Kayur and Danesh. His likes include the autobiographies and he is always fond of these. The book he loves the most is the Michael Moore’s Stupid White Men. Some of his favorite heroes are Mehboob Khan, Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Bimal Roy and Ramesh Sippy. Something peculiar about him is that photography is included under his hobbies where as he is not a trained professional photographer. His debutant film was Josh from where his recognition into the society started out. He was born and brought up in Maharashtra and his career started out as a photographer and also stepped into theatre playing. His first venture was in the Alyque Padamsee’s play Roshini and another double role which was offered against Pearl Padamsee in another play by Raell Padamsee Family Ties in the year 1996. Another milestone by Boman Irani was for the Feroz Abbas play, Mahatma vs. Gandhi where he portrayed Mahatma Gandhi. The play displayed the encounters of Gandhi with his first son Harilal Gandhi. He was well famous in advertisements and one among the noted commercial was the CEAT tyres ad. There are plenty of ads where he became noticed and thus stepped into acting in films. His first film was Josh in the year 2000 and it became wonderful hit as the Bollywood movie was a multi-starrer with Aishwarya Rai and Shahrukh Khan. The film, Munnabhai M.B.B.S was the greatest movie which showed up the eccentric performance of Dr. J.C Asthana as Boman Irani in the year 2003. The comedy of the movie was sprung up with the addition by Boman Irani and he did the same in the movie as he always appears and do something different in each of his ventures. He portrayed the role of a Sardar and it was simply a stereotypical image. The comedy was simply flawless with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi on the line. The movie was declared to be a super hit as the comedy was within the theme of the movie and did not deviate away. Sooner, the sequel of Munnabhai M.B.B.S was released and was named as Lage Raho Munna Bhai in the year 2006 and Boman played a different character as Lucky Singh. The movie was declared to be a bigger hit than the earlier one. The songs were sung by some great singers and it acclaimed a lot of fame with the success of the movie. Some of the greatest comedy in the film Main Hoon Na was by Boman and it seemed to be a little different from the others with a special effect of this great actor. He has played a number of roles as supporting and comedy actor in plenty of Bollywood movies. In Main Hoon Na which was rleased in the year 2004, he played the character of a College Principal who always forgot things. The entire scene by him was utter comedy and he was also praised for his acting. He has played several characters from a father to a friend, doctor, uncle, abusive neighbour, corrupt businessman, principal, courtroom judge, police office, eccentric murdered and lot more. He comes from the Parsi family located at Mumbai in Maharashtra. He has also attended the Kaun Banega Crorepati along with Sanjay Dutt when Shah Rukh Khan was the host. It was as part of the Munnabhai M.B.B.S special and Boman was considered to be a special part of the film. The special program received wonderful comments and was a complete fun-filled episode with Boman’s comedy and excitement. He also played major role in 2007 hit movie Heyy Babyy along with Fardeen Khan and Akshay Kumar. Boman Irani has also anchored several shows in different televisions like Star Plus, Sony etc. All his programs were aired to be the biggest hit shows and he was noted to be something with great comic talent.
