Bollywood Movie Ek Rishtaa Ek Rishtaa is a Bollywood movie that was release in the 2001 on 18th May. The movie has been directed, produced and written by Suneel Darshan. The movie has many Bollywood star in it like superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Juhi Chawla, Raakhee Gulzar, Karisma Kapoor & Mohnish Bahl. The movie was well appreciated at the box office, as it was a family drama with lots of emotional content. The tag line of the movie is what gives you a complete pre-view of the movie - In times of happiness, they turned their backs to each other ... In testing times, they came back ... Patriarch Vijay Kapoor (Amitabh Bachchan) is a rich Indian business who has amassed a fortune and now as the business is doing well he spends most of his time wearing great looking three piece suits and bandhgalas, another of his favorite things to do is to appear on the covers of business magazines and eat rich Indian food. Patriarch Vijay Kapoor has a lovely wife (Rakhee) and four children as well. Their only son Ajay (Akshay Kumar) was studying abroad and has graduated from university, received an academic degree in Information Technology and came back home now. Then Rajesh Purohit (Mohnish Behl) who happens to be a young business school graduate comes looking for a job at Patriarch Vijay Kapoor’s doorstep. Patriarch Vijay Kapoor is highly impressed with Rajesh Purohit’s skills and knowledge and offers him a job. Rajesh Purohit then climbs the ladder quickly into Mr. Kapoor’s heart and decides to get him married to his daughter, Papa's laadli beti (Juhi Chawla). Ajay in the meantime falls in love with Nisha (Karisma Kapoor) and plans to marry her too. Here everything begins to change, Vijay Kapoor tells him that he would be better off if he 1st gets a hand of the business empire that he has to handle one day and then get married. But Ajay has other plans and wants to start is his own IT company and for which he asks his dad to finance it. Vijay refuses and Ajay get the loan from some where else which annoys his dad so much that the dispels his altogether. Ajay finally marries Nisha and the couple move into their new house. In deception, Rajesh makes Vijay sign a power of attorney, which empowers him. That's how Vijay goes bankrupt, and all his fortune goes automatically to Rajesh. In the meantime Rajesh creates huge misunderstandings between the father and the son so that he can have control of all company affairs and that’s what exactly happens. Slowly Rajesh starts taking all the money from the company and the company goes bankrupt. When Ajay get to know all the atrocities that his father is having to face he wants to help his family but now Nisha tells him that when he needed their help they backed off so why should be now help them. This argument boils off a lot and so Nisha leaves him, as she is not pleased with Ajay's reunion with his family. Later she gets to know that she is pregnant and carrying Ajay's child but by then Ajay has settled into the family once again. For Ajay now the only mission is to get back the reins of the company back to his family where it belongs. Rajesh starts to grow insecure and starts to ill treat Priti (Juhi Chawla) who certainly cannot bear this and returns home. Ajay then decides to return his family fortune violently, and forces Rajesh to sign another power of attorney which says that the money comes back to the owner. Nisha gets back to Ajay with a child, and the family finally reunites and lives happily as it used to be before.
