Bollywood Actor Hrithik Roshan
This cool actor from Bollywood is the heart throb of millions of girls in India and abroad. Sporting a sixth finger of the right hand which is his lucky charm, with chiseled features and a body which may put bodybuilders to shame, Hrithik Roshan is definitely the most handsome actor in Bollywood. He is son of Rakesh Roshan, who himself came from a humble background to make it big in Bollywood. Hrithik Roshan had the advantage of being the son of a celebrity father. After being launched in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai he proved his mettle and emerged a superstar. His first movie, a mega hit, catapulted him to stratospheric heights in Bollywood. The actor started early in life as a child artist. He learned the ropes the harder way and acted as an extra and did minor child artist roles. He later assisted Rakesh Roshan in producing two big films Karan Arjun and Koyla. And then a new hero was born. Kaho Na Pyaar Hai was a Bollywood movie for youngsters. Both Hrithik Roshan and Amisha Patel debuted in this love story which appealed to the teens instantly. Overnight both the stars became famous and Hrithik Roshan was identified as the hero of a new generation. Hrithik Roshan's fan following was spreading like wild fire. He was the dream of every girl and every boy in the teens wanted the looks and a bike like Hrithik Roshan. Making such an astounding debut in the Khan dominated Bollywood this actor has really proved that he is a class above the rest. In addition to being an excellent actor Hrithik Roshan is a dancer par excellence. He became a dancing icon for the country and brought to life the art of dance in the country. Another super star Govinda is also a great fan of Hrithik Roshan. Infact Sanjay Dutt also like home. Hrithik Roshan went on to do movies selectively rather than going on a blind spree. He did roles of character which appealed to his fans. He gave stellar performances in movie 'Fiza'(alongside Karisma Kapoor, Jaya Bachchan and Isha Koppikar ) and Mission Kashmir which were some what identical. The actor depicts the role of a youth who is misguided into terrorism. He conveys a good message of national integration in Mission Kashmir. Yaadein produced by Subhash Ghai was a disappointment. A lot was expected with Yaadein but the movie failed to click. Then came Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham with Karan Johar where in Hrithik Roshan plays the brother of Shahrukh Khan and the son of Amitabh Bachchan. 2002 was a luke warm year. His film releases - Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage and Na Tum Jaano Na Hum all flopped at the box office. There seemed to be a lull in the career of the actor. But coming back in 2003 Hrithik Roshan proved his mettle beyond doubt by doing the role of a mentally challenged in Koi Mil Gaya which won him his second Filmfare Award. His role of a mentally challenged boy has been his best performance so far. He also acted in 2002 Bollywood film "Na Tum Jaano Na Hum" along with actor Saif Ali Khan but the film failed at the box office. So the actor had lot of ups and downs. This was followed by the movie 'Lakshya' directed by Farhan Akhtar(son of Javed Akhtar) where Hrithik Roshan plays a dashing young army officer. His movie 'Krrish' along with sexy actress Priyanka Chopra, old sexy actress Rekha and Naseeruddin Shah and directed by Rakesh Roshan was a follow up of Koyi Mil Gaya and was a great hit. It became the highest earning film of 2006. The awards followed Hrithik Roshan wherever he went. In the meanwhile Hrithik Roshan continued to weave his magic web on audiences. He became associated with bikes and good looks. And finally came the capping performance in Dhoom 2 along with Bipasha Basu. The actor emulates the famous 007 James Bond in the movie in some stunts. His role of a good thief who can take the police for a ride at will had audiences going gaga over him. The actor won the Filmfare Best Actor Award for the movie. The only time he has been in a controversy was when some of his remarks were misunderstood by the people of Nepal. However he managed to come clean of it by giving a public statement. Here is another actor who has stayed clean in personal life too. He married Sussanne Khan his childhood sweetheart and has been faithful to her ever since then. Considering the glamorous actresses like Kareena Kapoor, Amisha Patel and Preity Zinta along with whom he has paired his staying clean in personal life is a great achievement. His on screen kiss with Aishwarya Rai was much talked of but never managed to affect his personal life. The actor has made a strong performance in Jodhaa Akbar where he plays the role of the Moghul king Akbar. His superlative performance has made the movie a must see for Bollywood fans and ensured box office collections. He has started the year on a promising note and has many releases lined up in the year. Definitely with the Khan brigade tuning over forty years of age Hrithik Roshan is the star of the next generation.
