Bollywood movie Karan Arjun
Karan Arjun happens to be the name of a Bollywood super hit movie that was released in 1995. The movie has not only been directed by Rakesh Roshan but also produced by him. As in most of the Rakesh Roshan Bollywood ventures the music in this movie too has been scored by his brother and music director Rajesh Roshan. Khan & Salman Khan starring along side Rakhee, Kajol, Mamta Kulkarni, Amrish Puri, Johnny Lever & Ranjeet.
The movie is set in an old village of India. The plot of the movie’s story began by showing Durga (Rakhee) gets married in an India joint family and gives birth to two sons, and names them Karan Singh (Salman Khan) and Arjun Singh (Shahrukh Khan), the 1st two initial of the boys happen to be the title of this movie. Her husband gets killed by the wealthy landlord, and she and her children become dependents of her brother-in-law, who lusts for Durga and wants her for himself. Her husband’s father attempts to bring her back the family house but this is not acceptable to Durjan Singh (Amrish
Puri) who upon seeing them entering the family property throws them out and also kills his father.
Durga is left with no option but to raise her two sons as a single independent mother. She raises them facing all kinds of hardships while receiving no support from her husband’s family who happen to be quite a rich family. When Karan and Arjun grow up they are adamant that their mother tell them that what happen to their father and despite their mother not telling them they somehow get to know that he was killed and that they have a mansion that belongs to them. Karan and Arjun want that their mother live in her rightful house for which the visit their grandfather’s mansion where the two of them are killed by Durjan Singh as he want all of the property and wealth for himself. Durga upon seeing the dead bodies of her 2 young sons lying in front of her loses her mental balance and acts wildly. She then goes straight to the temple of Goddess Kali to seek justice.
That same night her sons are reborn in two different families as Vijay (Shahrukh Khan as the reincarnation of Arjun) & Ajay (Salman Khan as reincarnation of Karan). Time passes by swiftly and while Durga is still waiting for justice these two have grown up and their appear is identical to that of Karan and Arjun. Ajay steadily grows up to be a champion prizefighter and whatever money he wins from such activities he uses it to purchase medicines for is ailing father who is not keeping well due to being an alcoholic. One fine day, he chances upon meeting a businessman in the form of Mr. Saxena (Ranjeet) who tells him that he shall be willing to give Ajay the required money but in return would like some services. Ajay takes the money but by the time he reaches to help his father, his father has already died. He still agrees to work for Mr. Saxena.
Vijay has grownup with his uncle (Johnny Lever) after the death of his parents. He is a superbly skilled horse and falls in love with Sonia Saxena (Kajol). When Mr. Saxena finds out about the growing romance between the two he send Ajay to teach Vijay a lesson. They fight each other so hard that death is the only result. Lighting strikes them out of no where and they stop the fight. Upon reaching the village both Ajay and Vijay at first both believe in Durga’s claim that these two are real sons from their previous birth but with the help of the village people and some memory flashbacks they then are completely aware of their original identities and now want full revenge for the past happenings. Durjan Singh sends his men to kill the two but he ultimately has to pay a heavy price for his atrocities by the way of his life. In the end mother and sons get reunited and live happily ever after.
