| Bollywood Actor Mohnish
Bahl
Mohnish Bahl is a great actor perhaps it would be not wrong to call
him a reflection of a brilliant actress of Bollywood. We all know he
is son of great actress Nutan and Rajnish bahl, born on 14th August
1962 the actor has had a long and gradually developing career graph.
Though he hails from a famous family as his aunt and grand mother Shobna
samarth had an extraordinary place in the industry but he has made
a place for himself on silver screen and small screen too.
Mohnish has acting running in his genes and hence was able to give
good acts at tender age of 20 where he acted as a lost jungle boy in
Teri Bahon mein. He excelled in an evil role in Ramsay production purana
mandir, these roles established him as notorious character in films
and bollywood announced entry of a young lean actor as typical son
of a villain or third angle in a love story. He did several roles in
this shade in films like Baaghi, Maine pyar Kiya(co-starring with Salman
Khan, Bhagya Shree and Alok Nath),
Shola aur Shabnam directed by David Dhawan(co-starring
with Govinda, Gulshan
Grover, Anupam Kher and Alok Nath),
Deewana and eena meena deeka(co-starring with Rishi
Kapoor, Vinod Khanna, Juhi
Chawla, Kader Khan, Shakti
Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Gulshan
Grover, Alok Nath, Kiran Kumar and more) just to mention a few.
These were not unusual roles but gave him exposure to cinema as years
passed by. The actor got recognition from Rajshri production that went
against the set image and cast him in a positive role in Hum Aapke
Hain kaun. This was perhaps the turning point in mohnish’s career and
the break he deserved being a brilliant performer. He kept working
in commercial cinema as a baddie even after his success in the positive
image. The list of his performances is endless as he has worked in
Bollywood in over 100 films but his image as an elder responsible brother
truly made audience comment on his genes as Nutan’s son in Hum Saath
Saath Hain(starring Salman Khan, Karisma
Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre,
Mohnish Behl himself and Tabu and directed by
directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya). And then again in Shahid
Kapoor Starring film Vivah another sincere role of doctor all these
performances displayed his talent in different light and Bollywood
had another versatile actor with splendid acting skills. He also acted
in the super hit movie "HUM AAPKE HAIN KAUN" co-starring with actors
like Salman Khan, Satish Shah and Madhuri
Dixit. He also acted with Amitabh Bachchan in hit movie Ek
Rishtaa.
Very well settled in life with wife aarti, he loves to talk about
his daughter pranutan. A sensitive actor by nature mohnish come to
tears as anyone mentions his mother Nutan.
At many places he has always mentioned her name and truly wished her
to be there at his side being nominated in supporting actor’s role
for movie hum saath saath hain. He keeps talking about her constantly
and one can see his emotions in his eyes. He asserts that he was much
influenced by his mother in his performance in a goody role of pure
soul as calm and composed son in Hum saath saath hain. He admires the
great actress for being there to support him in all through his failures
and console him that he too would reach success in his career. He doesn’t
even mind being called a lucky mascot of rajshri productions as they
opened new prospects in his life.
The actor considers bollywood as his ambition by choice and talks
excitedly about his other movie jaanwar and astitva where he got play
a little different character from his typical roles. He admits that
without this lucky break in barjatya’s banner he would have been in
that typecast slot in Bollywood. From being a lean in his debut movie
to refined character of virtues mohnish has evolved in physique and
matured as an actor too. The actor candidly admits that he feels proud
to be nutan’s son and feels very well satisfied to find success and
do justice to her mother’s image finally. One can guess his rich taste
and love for antiques at his penthouse overlooking Arabian Sea done
in great taste with antiques and crystal ware. The actor now insists
that he has an ambition of performing meaningful roles in his films
that would count to praise and respectability that his mother enjoyed
in Bollywood.
The actor is pure at heart and admits that his mother’s status in
the industry had been a major supporting factor in his career and it
definitely has an advantage belonging to the similar background. The
actor has performed in few successful serials on small screen also
like sanjivni, Ek ladki Anjanni Si, Kahaani Ghar Ghar ki and his particularly
famous pairing with Shweta in Devi.
As time knows no bondage and spirits held forever, it’s their presence
that is felt by the loved ones and makes the deceased memory fresh
in our minds. Such is Nutan’s memory for mohnish who till date gives
all credit of his success and acting to his mother-a purely gentle
soul with heart of gold very much like the character he plays in Hum Saath Saath Hain.
