Bollywood Actor Sanjay Kapoor
Personal Sanjay Kapoor was born on October 17, 1965 in Mumbai, India. He is the son of great Producer Surinder Kapoor and brother in law of great actress Sridevi. Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor and producer Boney Kapoor are his brothers. His sister Reena is married to Sandeep Marwah of Marwah Films & Video Studios and The Asian Academy of Film & Television. So this Bollywood actor comes from a family that has great contribution for Bollywood and every one was linked with film industry. So film industry was not new for him, it was his second home for him in his childhood. He belongs to Kapoor family but his fate is different from the other members of the family. Sanjay Kapoor married to Maheen Kapoor and he has daughter Shanya and son Jahaan. Career After graduation Sanjay Kapoor was involved in post-production work of the film Mr. India with his brother. The director Skekhar Suman was very much impressed with him as he worked with him. He advised him to start his career as a director but Sanjay was quite young at that time. At that time youngsters were attracted towards acting so he joined Roshan Taneja's school of acting to learn acting. Because of his family background he got a chance easily. His brother introduced him in film 'Prem' opposite to actress Tabu. He was involved with Tabu romantically and Sushmita Sen with whom he acted in a movie. His brothers worked hard on Prem to make the position of his younger brother good in Bollywood but in vain. They developed Prem on large scale and made huge investment in this project. When this movie was under development, famous directors signed him in many other movies. He was signed for Beqabu directed by N. Chandra, for film 'Raja' by Inder Kumar, for Kartvya by Raj Kanwar and Mere Sapno Ki Rani Raghevendra Rao. It was not a big hit but Raja was a big hit opposite Madhuri Dixit that made him a star. After that he performed in many films, some of them were flopped and some got average success. He began to win praise but was not as successful as his brother was. His roles of villain in Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche with Esha Deol and terrorist in film Qayamat: City Under Threat were liked very much. It was the luck of Sanjay that he worked with the famous directors before the release of his movie. Sanjay was taken as a new Bollywood superstar but all the expectations dashed to ground when his debut movie failed. He remained lucky in his second movie Raja because it was a big hit on box office. But the credit of success of Raja went to Madhuri Dixit who performed the leading role opposite Sanjay. It was the period of his bad luck that all his movies that he developed under big banners failed one by one. It labeled Sanjay as a flop hero and made his condition worse. He was badly criticized by the critics and Bollywood film industry behaved mercilessly with him. It is not easy to continue after such criticism and failure but Sanjay remained hopeful and continued his work. He worked in a movie directed by Sudhir Mishra and then in Chuppa Rustam. He played double role opposite Mamta Kulkarni and Manisha Koirala. Sanjay Kapoor is waiting for a hit movie that will make him a real star in Bollywood. Except Raja his luck was not in his favor. Now he performs with all his efforts to get success like his brother but there is the need of good luck for him. He admits candidly that he is flop and does not expect much from his movies. But Sanjay Kapoor has not lost hope and he believes in try again and again. It is also possible if he does not sign movies with good directors then he would not be able to get any other chance in Bollywood film industry. Filmography: Sanjay acted in many films but he was not successful hero. He is working hard to survive in the Bollywood film industry.
