Bollywood Actress Twinkle Khanna

Twinkle Khanna’s birth name is Tina Jatin Khanna. She was born on 29th December 1974 in Pune. This date incidentally also happens to be her father’s birthday too. Her father is the Bollywood super star of yester years Rajesh Khanna and her mother is none other than the gorgeous Bollywood actress Dimple Kapadia.
Twinkle Khanna studied at the esteemed New Era High School in Panchgani, which is a hill station in the state of Maharashtra. Since the age of 11 she was at the same boarding school. Since childhood she has been brought up to be an independent woman. She was always among the top ranked students in her class but was known to have a very select group of friends.
Twinkle’s in her debut Bollywood ‘Baarsat’ was cast along side another debutant Bobby Deol. The movie was able to recover good returns at the box office and it also gave Twinkle the Filmfare Award for Best Debut. Twinkle also underwent an eye surgery for a cross-eye that was barely noticeable. In the course of her career Twinkle was fortunate to do many films that were appreciated by the cinemagoers. Though not many of her films were highly successful but her charm and good looks always made room for her to be cast in Bollywood movies.
During her career she had the chance to act besides all the good Bollywood actors working then. Her journey started from acting with Bollywood super star Shahrukh Khan in ‘Baadshah’ that was released in 1999 to starring opposite Bollywood hunk and super brat Salman Khan in the very nice comedy movie ‘Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai’. In the film ‘International Khiladi’ she was paired opposite her now husband Akshay Kumar, in ‘Mela’ she enacted the role of a village girl with Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan playing the lead role. In ‘Joru ka Ghulam’ and ‘Jodi No.1’ she was cast opposite Govinda. Her last Bollywood movie before she quit acting was ‘Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega’ opposite current Bollywood heartthrob Fardeen khan. All of these movies were well appreciated by the audience and thus created a huge fan following for her but of these were successful enough to label her a successful actress of Bollywood genre.
All of a sudden on January 14th 2001 she got secretly married to Bollywood heartthrob Akshay Kumar in a private ceremony. Thereafter she quit acting. She has a lovely son along with Akshay and together they have named him Arav Bhatia which Akshay’s original surname.
Once she quit acting she decided to take up interior designing as a profession and recently she did the full interiors for Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji’s new plush home in Mumbai. Her business has brought her much success and she has opened up her own store in the busy central district of Crawford Market in Mumbai. To partner her in this endeavor she has her long time friend Gurlein Manchanda and has named her venture – The White Window. She has in due course received international recognition from the prominent magazine Elle Décor International Design Award (awarded by the Indian edition of the same magazine). The store’s popularity has grown by leaps and bounds to the extent that she has now opened another branch of the same store in another part of Mumbai.
We wish that Twinkle’s store goes on and establishes a nation wide presence and her fans get the chance to have a look at the wonderful creation that this young lady has to offer to her clients. Her ideas on the new ways to change one’s living style would be really refreshing as if she can incorporate some of her sense of Bollywood styling then people would go bonkers at her ideas.
